Museum Fatahillah

The History of Batavia

Experience the splendor of human creativity

Originally built in 1870 as the Dutch East Indies courthouse, this building has served various purposes throughout history. It's been a Japanese administration building, a military dormitory, and even a mayor's office. In 1976, it found its current purpose as the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics, showcasing Indonesian and international art across different eras.

A Detour to the Past:

Exploring the Heritage of Batavia

The Museum of Jakarta History occupies a former City Hall built in 1707-1710, resembling Amsterdam's Dam Palace. Initially serving as government offices and a courthouse, the building changed hands throughout the 20th century before becoming a museum in 1974. Today, it houses over 25,000 historical artifacts

National Student

Concept-note Paper Competition

Developing Solution for

Indonesian Food System Transformation

Contributing to Food System

The Indonesian food system faces a number of complex challenges, requiring deep transformation and innovative solutions. One of the main issues is the imbalance between food production and distribution, resulting in uneven access to food across different regions. Furthermore, unsustainable conventional farming practices and inadequate infrastructure also pose barriers to meeting the nation's food needs. Additionally, climate change and shifts in consumer patterns further complicate the situation. Therefore, a transformation in the Indonesian food system is needed to address these challenges and ensure sustainability, food security, and welfare for all members of society.

Through the National Student Concept Note Paper Competition (NS-CoPac), it is hoped that participants can generate creative and sustainable concepts to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability of the Indonesian food system. The competition also aims to raise awareness of the importance of students' role in creating positive changes in the food system, providing them with opportunities to directly engage in the process of brainstorming and planning innovative solutions. Thus, NS-COPAC serves as a strategic platform to inspire the youth of Indonesia to contribute their thoughts and take real actions towards achieving sustainable transformation in the nation's food system.
